This is the first week of class for the CSI subject. The class is postponed to a Friday as there is a lot of information to announce as a whole class combined with the juniors of our course. For this week, we were assigned separately to be in charged of different activities for the visitation to an orphanage. We student of semester 6 are in charged of the sponsorship team. Our duty is to find sponsorship from the society to sponsor some useful materials for the children there in order to let them to have a better and more comfortable environment for their education. We are separated into groups for different kind of sponsorship such as books, stationary, paint and furniture.
I am in the book sponsorship group with Kimberly, Zee Leng, Jun Wei and Lulu. Our duty is to find sponsorship of books from the society to donate to the children.

It is the second week of CSI class. However, we have no class today. As a team of the sponsorship, our group members try to ask around about the sponsorship. We asked from our relatives and friends. We reached out and spread the sponsorship idea through social media such as Facebook and Instagram. We are very fortunate our ex-lecturer replied. They donated some unwanted books as their kids are all grown up. I think that it is definitely a good deed as they are here to help and give the opportunity to the children to explore more knowledge.

We have tutorial class today with Mr Edwin. He came to class and meet us group by group to talk about our sponsorship progression. So far, we had Lulu obtained Rm200 of books from her friends of her internship company. Also, we self donated some SPM & PMR books. In addition, we sparated work between ourselves to spread the sponsorship idea in order to get more sponsorship from the socierty. Kimberly is assigned to design a brochure to give out to the students around campus. Lulu will do the poster to attract more passbyers to look at the information. Jun Wei and I are in charged of doing the presentation slides for this coming Friday. We had our own group discussion to prepare for the presentation on Friday.

This is the fourth week of the CSI class. We have no class today as all of us are meeting up on the coming Friday for our presentation. For this week, we are preparing the slides for our group. The content of the slides mainly cover the information about the poster and brochure we prepared. For instance, the poster will be attached at some corners of Taylor's University Campus and the donation box will be placed at the entrance of SLC Centre to collect the books. Also, the brochure will be distributed in our own housing area and the books will be collected face to face after that.
Besides, we updated the amount and progress of donation. In conclusion, we are now having around 150 books in total together with a RM200 value of books via sponsorship.

We have no class today as most of the students and lecturers of our class are preparing for the trip to Cambodia on the coming Wednesday (1/5). We have our own progress this week. I tried to get more sponsorship and donation of books from my family and friends around me. I now have collected 30+ books in total.

We have class today at 2pm. Mr Edwin gave us tutorial group by group. He showed us some work of the seniors. Also , every groups in our class gathered and have some group discussions. After several discussions and agreements, the logo and posters are ought to make some amendments so that it looks more unity. We decided to make changes on the colour scheme.

There is a small presentation among our class today. We are assigned to update our latest progress so that everyone has the tally process. For the slides this week, we did some informations on the colour codings of books so that they are easier to be divided into different categories and groups. Besides, we updated our to do plan so that we have a clear idea on what to do and achieve next.

Discussions are held during class for this week. We updated our group's progress respectively to Mr Edwin. This week, I managed to collect around 100 books from my friend. After several counts and classifications, we are having 200+ books now. Our target book amount is 3000 books, whic h is almost impossible to collect. As we are still far and long way to achieve our target amount, we tried to walk around campus to ask from the students, staffs, lecturers and friends. Also, we placed a container box outside of SLC in campus so that the box can be seen at a more obvious place with more passbyers to catch their attention about this charity event.

Here comes the ninth week of CSI class. To collect more books, we decided to inform each semester student to bring at least 1/2 books respectively based on the book types we decided for each semester. I was in charged to contact semester 2&3 student. The semester 2 students are assigned to donate books for the UPSR reference while the semester 3 students are assigned to collect books for SPM references.

During the Raya one week break, each one of us are in charged to get more books from people around us such as neighbours, family and friends. We are now having 800+ books and we planned to hit 1000 books worst to worst. I tried to ask around and one junior agree to donate some books after the Raya break. Zee Leng went around her neighbourhood and she got quite an amount of books from it.

Everyone had been preparing for the visit to the Orang Asli House at Serendah, Kampung Ulu Melaka. Each group had been discussing about the actvities that would happened on that day. Our semester, Semester 6 is in charged to assign works for the juniors and also help to assemble the furnitures.

Some people of our Semester 6 group went for the visit on last Saturday. Works are distributed evenly among us and the juniors. The juniors did mural painting, painting the wall. For the books group, we are in charged of collecting and getting the sponsorship of book, after that we passed the books to juniors to let them do the colour coding, tidying and eliminating the bad ones. So, we are basically always in contact to help the juniors.
Besides, after the visit, our class come out with the finalised design for the banner of this event. We decide to design it in a cartoonist and colourful style to make a more cheerful feeling for the children to encourage them to practice the habit of reading with the idea of 'reading is fun'.
